Unreal
So I finally upgraded my 2007 Spec B. Mods are a COBB downpipe, Perrin TMIC, and a dynotune from John@Cobb. Total investment for everything was ~$1000. I bought the TMIC and DP used, and the tune was inexpensive. John did an open source tune, real conservative, 15.5psi. My car is a daily driver and tow vehicle so I wanted it more towards the safe side. It made 227awhp, 261tq on Cobbs Mustang Dyno. Baseline before tune was 184/211. rtbrjason
Not bad. I think you could run closer to 17psi and still be quite safe and get a decent gain. Especially since you went with an aftermarket TMIC.
05pearl
23% increase in hp/tq for $1,000. Money well spent IMO.
scoobydoobie
Not bad at all. I agree with rbtrjason, you could turn the boost up a bit, especially with a bigger TMIC. My stage 1 map sees 16.1 psi max boost.
Unreal
I wanted to error on safety since it is my daily driver, won't be raced, and the next mod will be a trailer hitch to tow my race bikes around.
Legend
and a dynotune from John@Cobb. Total investment for everything was ~$1000. I bought the TMIC and DP used, and the tune was inexpensive. John did an open source tune Cobb not using their own tuning product?! My '05 LGT My '07 Supercharged Shelby
kevkel33leg05
Cobb not using their own tuning product?! Right? That surprised me as well too!!! Maby it was supposed to be kept quiet?
Unreal
The baseline was with the donwpipe and TMIC, so the 27% increase was just from the tuning.
mickeyd2005
Cobb not using their own tuning product?! That's just ... strange.

Unreal
I provided the stuff and asked John to tune it with OS. He was just doing the tune. Nothing to do with Cobb besides using their dyno.
kevkel33leg05
I guess the economy is so slow Cobb had to start doing OS tunes
tommy72ca
Those are some great numbers. It is similar to what I have gotten from the same Mustang AWD dyno. MY06 Catless Up, Catted DP, Mid-Y, TMIC 225whp/239wtq California's "premium" 91 octane
Infamous1
Not bad. I think you could run closer to 17psi and still be quite safe and get a decent gain. Especially since you went with an aftermarket TMIC. If he was at Cobb he most likely lives at fairly high altitude so 15.5psi is right where he would want to be at. dancobbtuning.com
Unfortunately we're at high altitude and at the pump all we get is 91 octane ... Good ol' Utah. Here at the Salt Lake facility we tune all sorts of vehicles as long as they have a tuning solution and IF they can fit onto our Mustang Dyno. We had another Mustang Dyno at the Miller Motor Sports park which we've dyno'd all sorts of vehicles. OP- For our dyno those are some nice numbers **I wish mine made that** Cheers Dan@cobbtuning.com 801.713.0035 Cobbtuning.com
