Blk2.5GT
I have a 2005 GT and want to buy an air intake for it. The dealer I bought my GT from is offering one for $175, since it's a floor model (comes with the heat shield). I hear that some people like them, whiles other don't. I plan to do other mods. Will this intake complicate my future mods? Basically what do you think about it, and should I buy the darn thing? (And yes I bought the extended warranty...) DrCloud
Ok, folks, place your bets. What's the prevailing line on the forthcoming consensus? HPH
Denver133
Search? I bet $500000000. Dude, you don't need an intake until you get a protune. Put the $175 towards your accessport or something that is more useful.
wpmarky
For $175, all you'd be getting is a louder intake/BOV sound. If you want performance, you can probably find a Cobb AP v.1 for $300ish that will fit your
bullfrg
I got my V1 for $275 and it was well worth the money. Much more bang for the buck then an intake IMHO.

bradlgt21
A intake will do nothing but make your car sound like a train and make you run lean. Intakes should not be used without a protune. So if you want no horsepower, more noise, and your air fuel mixture all whacked out go for it.

OhBe1
Surprised the Granatelli brothers did Subies. Might try searching for SPT intake, in the appropriate forum, where you'll probably find some negative reviews. 06LOB2.5i MT, JDMRSB, GYTTs, HPS, LGT Mufflers & Leather Wheel, SubiMomo Knob, Inalfa Moonroof, Clutch Switch Bypass, DeDRLd, DeChimed, & Straight Headrest.
