chenc544
Another shot across the bow of Legacy. SOA better be thinking Legacy STI with H6 turbo. 3.5L Ecoboost V6 pumping out 365 hp mated to 6-spd auto and AWD. Maybe it will eventually get the dual-clutch PowerShift transmission. Starting price is $38k. Not a bad looker IMHO. http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/11/officially-official-2010-ford-taurus-sho/ http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/021_2010taurussho.jpg http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/016_2010taurussho.jpg http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/019_2010taurussho.jpg http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/037_2010taurussho.jpg http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/039_2010taurussho.jpg

chenc544
Sure it exsists, just not here Are you talking about Legacy "tuned by STI"? IIRC that's really just a package not a true Legacy STI.
Guest JessterCPA
Starts at $38k. I'd be curious as to what a real car out the door will be priced.
chenc544
That price is a joke though. Considering that the LGT Spec B and WRX STI both starts at $35k, I don't think $38k for a luxury sports sedan with that much power and AWD is overpriced... 05GT Guru
i wouldn't pay 38k for a ford, maybe if it was a cobra, but def not for a taurus, sho or not And this is exactly the thinking that will ensure the economy and american auto industries will fail. It seems no matter how good, reliable and what cool ideas ford and gm and maybe even mopar can come up with people are still gonna go im not gonna buy that car. Because its a this or that. If its a good car its a good car, get your head out of your stereotyping a-hole. Im not saying the car is or isnt worth 38k, but noone knows yet. Not wanting to buy its bwecause you think its ugly or whatever is up to you but just saying i wont get it because its made by this company is just dumb. PhillyWilly
If its a good car its a good car, get your head out of your stereotyping a-hole They created the stereotype with their own greed and mismanagement, they need to fix it.... So far they have not done that.
05GT Guru
Why Not? The cars made by those comapnies today, are just as reliable, great gas mileage, good build quality as of late. There are doing everything the other companies and just as good. The g8 gt can be had for 25k right now in my area. Car looks great gets the same mpg as our cars but has 370hp more room, cool interior imo better sound system. So what makes it not a good seller, stereotypes. Oh and BTW, The big threee can make the best cars ever if people wont believe it because its made by thsoe companies then its over and its the people who need to realize. GULLABLE0NE
i dont sterotype my friend. i go by facts. i personally am a chevy guy. it killed me to buy a subaru ( no offense to subaru). i test last car was a chevy cobalt ss. fast as it was is was still built poorly. after trading it in i was interested in the new malibu but it also seemed poorly engineered and not up to par with imported vehicles. i have family and friends who only buy american cars but are always disappointed in the quality in workmanship and reliability. sad to say american carmakers dont build cars the way they used to, even with better technology their cars have not progressed forward with the rest of the industry. at this point in time, the only american made vehiclesi would buy are chevy/doge/ford trucks or a corvette. i love camaros but i ruled it out because for the price tag chevy is giving it it will probably be a disappointment

SW7RT
By the time SOA makes a turbo H6 Legacy STI we'll all be old with gray hair telling our grand kids those "I remember when" stories. The new legacy looks heavy and I highly doubt it'll weight less which really turns me off since we don't have official hp numbers. SOA needs to up the game quick on the new legacy especially since the new WRX has more hp out of the same dam engine. Its great that the two share the same chassis now maybe the legacy can get some love. As far as the Taurus goes I'm not impressed they can't figure out whether to keep the car or just rename it. It'll probably become extinct in a couple years. I rather see a twin turbo G35X with a sweet gearbox that won't comit hara-kiri when you use launch control. 05GT Guru
I agree, the new legacy getting a rumored hp bump to 290 doesnt mean shit if they are just gonna increase the weight.
iyalla
I like it! 2010 is too late for this car, it should have been already on the streets. The price and its standard features are very good considering its going up against the likes of Toyota Avalon and Nissan Maxima.
Habitual Line Stepper
Once again you ruled a car out without ever driving and testing it. GG I do that alot too, but i dont think its my problem, its the manufacturers'. "I for one do not doubt you, dude. SW7RT
SOA new concept is big fender flares + large grille + overstated body lines = . Now all we have to do is convince SOA that low weight + more thrust + stronger tranny = customers.
