leggtnut
So, I am listening to a webcast by cnet, and they are talking about a new oil filter that filters down to ~2 microns instead of 10-15 microns and can increase the oil change intervals up to 25 - 30K miles. I wanted to spring board this off all of you because I just don't know if I would trust something that long. www.microgreenfilter.com And yes, they do have suby filters. MOMSWGN
$45 for 2. I like 2 microns but I would get an OA at 5K to be safe.
987687
Interesting, although I'd think that it would get clogged very easily. Especially on older engines.
Gimpy117
?? you sure about this? I thought it was darn hard to get 10 microns...let alone
CapnJack
I would think they are going to be much more susceptible to filter blinding causing collapsed cartridges causing you to change your filter more often.
Penguin
I don't think the linked company has any idea what they are doing. Now if it were these guys I would trust them, but you'll notice that in order to get the desired level of filtration while maintaining oil flow the filters are very large. http://filtrationsolutionsww.com/service-pickup1.html
987687
I'll stick with doing oil changes every 4000ish miles.
