I think it could be good for many reasons. 1st an most important IMO, it looks like a kick ass twisty mountain road and it would be fun to drive. 2nd, there are some good spots to stop and take good pics. 3rd, it would be about the same drive for the LA and SD guys. Check the route that we ran in the April 2005 Fun Run. Included 74 PTP and 243, 15, 215, 79 (Temecula to Idylwild to Temecula).
