Any benefits of a 1 piece DP over a 2 piece DP?

The only benefit I can see is a decreased chance for leaks.

 

I've always planned on using an Invidia catted DP, but a friend of mine offered me his Helix catted DP (top section), and there is a Crucial racing MP in the FS section available.

 

FWIW, the Helix shorty DP is from an 04 STI (I think that was the year). He claims it will fit my car, but I really don't know.

 

Anyways, are there any benefits/performance differences between the two?

The STI downpipe will not fit without modification.

I have found after like 10 or so now that the one piece are extremely easy in comparison...and less chance of leaks...I despise leaks

 

 

that 04 sti pipe is going to be too short... you can chop and add to it or look for a cheap dp in the classifieds

Plus you won't need extra gasket to connect those two pipes.
