rurouni_x
Hey guys I just installed the Synapse BOV after hearing good things about it mainly about eliminating Comp. surge. Heres some info on the valve. [ame= ] [/ame] http://www.synapseengineering.com/archive/marketing/forums/synchronicbov/sb001threeports.JPG A&B Connect to vacuum I used a T-connector bought from Auto Zone. By rurouni_x[/img] So far I have It at fully recirculated and it sounds nice:cool:. Louder than stock but not bad. I might try the vent feature as well to see if i like it. Here is how it sounds. its the second one w/o surge [ame= ] [/ame]
rurouni_x
Another thing I have noticed about this valve is increased throttle response. Its a lot quicker now.
rurouni_x
Also it has gotten rid of the WG flutter that I've had ever since I had my K&N Intake
underpowerd
gotta like the idea of no surge/better tr, but is it really as loud as that (clip 2) in full recirc? btw, what are you running to your wgcs, another tee off screen?
rurouni_x
yeah im running another T. and the clip is atmos. I think
tomskib
So sweet. Did you buy/install the Anti-Stall kit they recommend for our cars?
rurouni_x
I have it fully recirc. so there is no need for the anti stall kit. Thats only if you want to vent and have a MAF. But i might try it.
SpawnGT
what does the anti-stall kit do? or i should say how does it work?
tomskib
The anti stall kit prevents suction through the valve while not under boost. Usually for people with a non MAF (Mass airflow sensor) car's the valve sucks air through it but enough to screw up the air-fuel ratio based off the MAF. You have to block of the suction to make sure the MAF is reading the accurate air amount passing. Yes our car's have MAF's and we need the anti stall kit. It's briefly explained in the first video at the very end.

1astrokeit
no will not fit on stock IC i seen a video of them installin on a 08 wrx with a stock intercooler. isnt the bov flange the same as all the turbo subarus?
SpawnGT
i seen a video of them installin on a 08 wrx with a stock intercooler. isnt the bov flange the same as all the turbo subarus? 08 stock intercooler and all the LGT intercooler flangers are in fact the same. Except for engines equipped with Sti engines, the Sti intercooler has a different flange. But im going to take a wild guess and say that the reason it doesnt fit is becuase of its size, and the availability of space under the hood. But thats just my guess. My Make-shit FMIC barly allows for the stock BPV. Its very very close. Thats just my 2cents.
