Hugo L. Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Doesn't sound like it from their site, yet it looks excatly like a K&N to me... Mine is dirty, so I'm cleaning it today, but do I have to (re)oil it? TIA.

JoeFromPA Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Make sure now to use pressurized air on it under any circumstances.....lots of people "blow them out" which ruins a good air filter. Joe
LGT Dave Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Make sure NOT to use pressurized air on it under any circumstances.....lots of people "blow them out" which ruins a good air filter. Joe Fixed
CTATV Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Make sure now to use pressurized air on it under any circumstances.....lots of people "blow them out" which ruins a good air filter. Joe why does it automatically ruin them, out of curiosity? we blew out our air filters for our mowers every day for the lawn company I worked for... same idea rectangle gauze filter with a metal mesh...
JoeFromPA Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 It seperates the filter material and creates micro-tears in the filter, it compresses filter material against each other (thereby lessoning it's flow capacity and filtering capacity). I'm not talking about hair dryers, I'm talking compressed air. Joe

Joe i know what you mean we had compressed air in the shop & did the filters every morning. granted a bobcat with a 15 HP kawi engine is not an LGT...
ArcTec34 Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Make sure NOT TO GET SOAP on it under any circumstances.....lots of people "blow them out" which ruins a good air filter. Joe fixored. kinda like getting soap on the intercooler, I'd imagine.
fonts Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 fixored. kinda like getting soap on the intercooler, I'd imagine. You wouldn't want to do that ....
JoeFromPA Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Crap, I just cleaned out the AVO I bought from a member using dish soap and warm water. It's going to melt a hole straight through my intercooler...probably through the block itself. Soap > Sulfuric Acid Joe
