d1a9j
33-2145 seems like a bigger filter... possible more air flow !!! Best bet would be to call up K&N and ask what's up
Osei
measure yours and get the one that matches. They are probably different sizes even though they say they both fit. O.
tdoggydog
I don't know if this pertains to your generation of Legacy or not, but I asked the forum about K&N air filters and got flamed! I was told to get an oil-less AVO to avoid harming the MAF sensor. Good luck!
08specB
I have never seen or heard of an issue with K&N filters messing up a MAF sensor. Other "foam" like filters maybe, but K&N, very doubtful. I understand the issue of small particles of oil flying off the filter element then clinging to the MAF and messing it up, I think is just a myth. I have run K&N and other foam filters on other cars and trucks without incident. The foam/sponge types you will want to go easy on the oiling of them, but you can just pat it off with a paper towel if you get too much on. Just my .02. If I had something important to say, I wouldn't tell you anyway.
gergeek
i decided to not install that filter and am in the process of finding a cheap K&N performance filter http://www.knfilters.com/images/cone175x167.jpg
