JoeFromPA
Allow me to quote....myself: "Anyway, I don't know what's going on in this math class anymore. My point was that there is very little rubber between the wheel and road....I stand by that." Even high quality wheels won't stand up to a direct hit to the rim at speed as a result of a pothole or Curb. It's just a matter of how much it bends, whether or not it still holds air, how if it cracks significantly. And the way to help prevent those direct hits from happening (as much as possible) is to maintain sidewall height & a slightly higher than recommended pressure (i.e. 38 PSI instead of 32). V4LG7
Although they aren't the lightest wheels, I couldn't justify spending any more money on wheels being that tri-state area roads aren't the greatest! Also, being able to replace just one for $180 is pretty cool. Then I don't feel so bad if one gets curbed or bent.
