cfdrumr
Will an intake from a WRX or STi fit on our car? There are thousands of used K&N/Prodrive/AEM/ect intakes on Nasioc for cheap!

Billy Dagwood
you can get a new panel filter specifically made for our cars for less than that
cfdrumr
I have a KN panel filter but im talking about an entire intake... its a KN Typhoon (its local btw so I wont get fucked!)
AKLGT
it may fit, but not well. LGT specific will fit correctly, there isn't a guarantee it will line up (bolts) or location. You will probably have to mess around with it a bit to make it fit right. Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle yeah!!!
cfdrumr
so im better off to wait for an LGT typhoon? they are so damn expensive!!!
AKLGT
just keep an eye out on the forums. people sell their SPT, K&N intakes all the time. Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle yeah!!!
PeterJMC
I have a used SPT if you want to but it. I bought it the way I'm selling it. I have no need for it since my FMIC came with one. You will need to purchase 2-3 hose clamps and a few small bolts to complete it. Not sure where all the other hardware is, again I bought this used as is. Haven't installed it. Comes with: Filter cone Intake pipe Silicone pipe to the turbo inlet pipe Mounting bracket (minus the bolts needed to secure it) Hacked/bent up SPT heat shield. $85 shipped... will sell for what I bought it for. Original sale thread... http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90380&highlight=spt+intake
Infamous1
I got my K&N (LGT style) for $100. The WRX/STi will fit but will cause you to run horribly rich due to the smaller diameter MAF housing. Only way to have it run correctly is to have the MAF rescaled.
cfdrumr
Well I am going to get a pro-tune with the intake. I will just keep my eyes open for a true LGT intake....i know i DO NOT want an SPT
ProjectSega
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was told the 08+ WRX/STi intakes may fit. Supposedly, alot of other engine parts should too.

Fitting is one thing, incorrect MAF housing is another. Anything can be made to fit.
LGT Dave
See here: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92752. Like Infamous1 said above, it looks like the intake will fit (as long as it's for an '08+ WRX/STi), but the housing for the MAF sensor is different than the LGT. I don't think it's worth trying to get it to work.
