KartRacerBoy
And I bet your fast pad wear had a lot to do with those R compound slicks you like to drive to work on (as well as on the track).
rao
FWIW, kids are NOT cheaper Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
KartRacerBoy
Oh, and that's "ridiculous"! And didn't you have less grippy pads in the back? That would be another factor shifting the braking force to those fancy front racing pads, wouldn't it?
KartRacerBoy
FWIW, kids are NOT cheaper One meal a day and they are. And then they don't grow so much and you save on clothes. And then you can spend $$$ on fancy brake pads for track days when you took the work day off and made no money to support them. It's all good! magnetic1
I thought you had Brembos? They are kinda expensive, but also depends on what brand. Also, like mentioned above, using non-track pads in the rear wear the fronts faster. The one thing that will absolutely increase pad life is ducting. If you can find a way to add ducting to cool the rotors, pad life increases dramatically! Free Sonax Cleaner Deal http://www.brakeswap.com Carbotech, Hawk, PFC, DBA Rotors, Motul, Wilwood, Castrol... Great service. No bumping required !
Xenonk
yank out the fog lights and run the ducting through there.. simple enough, the hard part is fastening the ducts close enough to the center of the hub. Keefe
