Garandman
We're visiting friends this weekend, first time I've ever been in this area. There are a lot of posh cars around. First time I've ever seen more than one Bentley or Aston Martin in a day. Porsches are everywhere. But it seems Rovers are everywhere! Range Rovers, many of the mid-sized models, and even a Disovery 110. What is the fascination with Rovers? Who Dares Wins スバル
OGG
It's so they can pretend they actually drive on the beach. I bet most of them had off road permits on their well polished bumpers.

drcaveman
The in SUV of the times. My Brother in laws parents who own jewlery store out there have an Accord Hybrid and just traded in a Land Rover Defender for a CRV. Going green is slowly overtaking the market becoming the in thing to do especially for celebs.
hutru01
My only real experience with rovers was with a friend who had Land Rover Defender 90. I must say that for a stock vehicle, it was able to go up off-road trails that I wouldn't dare even taking a Jeep Wrangler. Other than that, its no different than having any other overpriced SUV. Guest JessterCPA
Three of the managers/owners at my firm here in Roseland NJ have Land Rover Sports. One Supercharged. I don't understand them myself. The kids all love them though.
Gire
They are the "country" vehicle of choice for the wealthy For sure. They are all over Whistler Mountain up here. If you are really ostentatious, then you go with a Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Totally necessary for driving around in the mountains.
