ive got a cobb turbo back with stock cans, the car is pro tuned and I can't stand the popping noise when I let off heavy throttle.

Will a resonator stop or seriously reduce the popping?

anyone?

have the pro-tuner adjust your tip-in and FIBET tables

adjust the whosit and wachamacallit.. Got it...

Can anybody clue me in as to what "tip-in" and FIBET are?

I did comment (to the tuner) on hoping to rid the car of the "popping" through tuning. He attributed it to exhaust design.

I'm having a hard time swallowing that though.

Compared to yours it is  Your car better run 11s's to sound like that ;)

I don't know what it runs, but I know Honda Fit has nothing on me once I get above 4000rpm.

it's truth....

and the answer is actually yes...with the right resonator you will drasticall absorb the popping noise...

have you removed your stock res?

I'd say install at least an 18" magnaflow resonator in there.... it will absorb most of that popping.

I have the same issue...but enjoy it... :p

I have a cobb DP with HFC and a catback exhaust with no popping off throttle. I had always been under the impression it occurred with catless DP's and or rich off throttle conditions.
ignore him, he'll go away.

im wondering if dropping from the large dia y pipe to stock exhausts is doing it

That's what Rao is running and I don't recall hearing his car pop
