Underdog
Ahh gotcha... A few things to consider (although I can not say that any one is the single cause): 1. Lower compression ratio of the GT makes the off-boost throttle feel "soggy" compared to other, higher CR engines. 2. Cruising at any reasonable speed should not require any boost. That means there will be lag while the turbo spools up, although very brief if accelerating from ~3krpm. 3. Greater drivetrain rotating mass may increase the engine braking effect (although this could be offset by CR differences). Sorry for any spelling or grammar errors, I'm typing while organizing all the tools and parts for my suspension install tomorrow. Please regard this post as points for conversation rather than factual statements. The Crimson Dynamo
franklin
If I had my way. Add the 6th gear and set it up to be at 2500-2700 at 80 MPH rather than 3400. I think this would be a nice compromise between performance and highway mileage in an age of $3.50 + gas.
