Yes yes your little spark plug  Long time no see darlin'! You need your HID kit!

Which picture is that? The one in front of Fort Adams? Thats my favorite so far. But I have to take new ones of mine and your LGT once the weather gets nicer. :) I'll take the D40 out to play! If I can get a tripod before then I'll take it to this meet.

Wow! Nice looking car. I'm not usually a fan of the SRT or pink paint jobs;), but that car just looks well done.

I uploaded about 14 of them tonight to photobucket. I didn't edit any of them because I'm too damned tired right now. But here they are:

I believe I've seen this WRB WRX couple of days ago at Quaker lane in Warwick approx 5PM - I was driving down south, you were coming up north. Guy with dark hair spotted me for sure but I've noticed him too late to wave .

Crystal, what lens do you use with your Nikon ?

Thanks Legacy_y_tu!! :)

SubOperator: thats my friend Charlie's bugeye, he does have dark hair. May very well have been him. As for the Nikon, I just got it for Christmas, and those were the first night shots I've ever taken with it. I just acquired a nice tripod that same day. I have two lenses for it:

AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 GII

AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5.6 G

I still need to pick up a circular polarizer, and I'd love to grab a wide angle in the future. Right now I just want to practice. Those were taken in "S" mode with the shutter at 2.5". Next time I'm going to try "M" full manual, so that I can raise the F stop to get a better depth of field.

Good setup ; I'll try to bring my Canon Rebel next time so we can play with settings and try night shots to compare how they perform. I'm still with default 18-55 on it though :)

I always have the 55-200mm with me, but I didn't need it that night. I'd love to compare photos with another SLR owner. I'm still so new at this and would love to learn more. But as long as I have a tripod, I think full manual mode would be better, I need more depth of field.

If I'm feeling up to it, I may show. Had my wisdom teeth out Friday and I'm not doing so well.

Paul, Eric's lights are 100W Texon 3000k Halogens. You can find them on Ebay. Something about running a 100W light doesn't strike me as all that smart or safe though. Here's a listing to some (wrong bulb number I know):

I didn't think so. Thats awfully high wattage. He said it won't melt the housing. I said its not about the housing its about the harness. Nokya makes yellow bulbs, as does EuroDezigns (I owned EuroDezigns). The other option is to find some used Lexus IS Foglights and retrofit the yellow capsule into your factory housing. Or just go HID :)
