As for the Nikon, I just got it for Christmas, and those were the first night shots I've ever taken with it. I just acquired a nice tripod that same day. I have two lenses for it: AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 GII AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5.6 G I still need to pick up a circular polarizer, and I'd love to grab a wide angle in the future. Right now I just want to practice. Those were taken in "S" mode with the shutter at 2.5". Next time I'm going to try "M" full manual, so that I can raise the F stop to get a better depth of field. I'm still so new at this and would love to learn more. But as long as I have a tripod, I think full manual mode would be better, I need more depth of field. Paul, Eric's lights are 100W Texon 3000k Halogens. You can find them on Ebay. Something about running a 100W light doesn't strike me as all that smart or safe though. Nokya makes yellow bulbs, as does EuroDezigns (I owned EuroDezigns). The other option is to find some used Lexus IS Foglights and retrofit the yellow capsule into your factory housing.
