I'm on my third one. Love this car, hopefully the numbers will be upgraded as well:

I hope it gets the VQ37.

the straight on look reminds me of an A5/S5

I think the whole Nissan/Infiniti line will move to VQ37 eventually. The interior has a lot of Inifiniti touch, I like it. I guess the weird v shaped headlight is the new brand identity. The new 370z is suppose to have similar headlights too.

The front end looks like an evolution of the M35. Very "stately" I suppose.

FWD=Fail unless they give it AWD, but I doubt it.

The reason I would definitely NOT by another Maxima, that and bloated weight.

thats exactly what the maxima is based off of is the M...My brother owns an 07 maxima and loves that car. Their updated transmission is very nice, you cant feel the thing shift gears and for 255 hp its very quick. I agree it needs to be awd since it is a somewhat beefy car but if i couldnt get a subaru, i would go for nissan

Finally something good. I thought that the last Maxim and Altima looked too similar. Hopefully an AWD option, because FWD is really pushing it in this vehicle.

Nissan wont do AWD. That's why there's the G35x. It drives me nuts though. They'd be smart to offer an AWD option.

i like the g35 but its too small... the maxima is very roomy inside, if they put awd in the maxima it would be a hell of a car and cheaper too..

put the g35x's awd into the new maxima and you just bought yourself a M for almost have the cost...now if they use the engine from the M45... i would be all over it ...

I think the prime of the Maxima was 2000-2003, 5th gen. My mom drives a 2000 SE and it still runs strong. The newer gens might have a better engine but the extra inches in each dimension makes them enormous in size! Plus by not being RWD I'm sure Infiniti has been cannibalizing former maxima buyers.

This newest pic looks ::barf::... its like someone put a plastic bag over the poor cars face back and stretched it back...

Looks like they used Camry tail lights. Maybe they sourced them from Toyota to cut costs...

Seriously - do you know how many people will hear "Hey, what model Solara is that?"

+1

It looks like a Camry Rear with an Accord Front (but stretched back)

Forgive me for being simplistic here, but I honestly cannot see why anyone would get a Maxima. Save a few $$$ & get aa beautiful Altima, or spend a few $$$ more & get a G35/37. What am I missing about the Maxima.

Maxima owners are very loyal to their cars. The cars are really nice. I just can't beyond the Altima comparisons.

Thanks.
