c-lo Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 I have to replace one of the v-belts. it's the one that goes around the generator, crank pulley and the power steering oil pump pulley. Is this a DIY job with the right tools (care of my buddy PGT) 258k miles - Stock engine/minor suspension upgrades/original shocks/rear struts replaced at 222k/4 passenger side wheel bearings/3 clutches/1 radiator/3 turbos

jholder Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I realize this is an old thread, but I thought I'd chime in just to answer the question since this was the first thread returned when I searched. Yes it's a DIY. In fact it's the simplest belt change I've ever done. No jack's necessary. Just a 12mm socket (preferably with a 6" extension). Just plan to replace both belts at the same time, nothing else has to come off.
