Pic request: LGT BSM w/Rota Torque...Hyper Black

Looking for anyone with pics of a BSM LGT sedan or wagon...with 17x8 Rota Torque Hyper blacks.

 

Seen 18's on another color car and other wheel finishes...just looking for the specific mentioned above. Thanks.

I've got some 17x8 hyperblack torques,

 

but they are still in boxes, unmounted and my sedan is GRP.

 

So, I guess I'm no help (but slightly more help than the rest of the forum).

Ok - take them out of the box and prop them up against the side of your existing wheels that are on the car and take a pic! HA! We're desperate!

Hah, well I doubt I'd get any worthwhile pictures like that. I should be mounting them up pretty soon, just waiting for the weather to warm up a little here in Reno.

Thanks! Do you know if those are hyper silver and what size wheels/tires they are?

Those are hyperblack 17x8. Tires (I think) were 225/45/17.

 

Hyperblack is a very interesting finish. They don't look as silvery in person and definitely much darker. Its really hard to explain, because they do have a silvery sheen over them that normal gunmetal/anthracite/whatever doesn't have.

Yeh that's what's confusing me - I don't know what color I want. Hyper black, silver, hyper silver, gunmetal or steel gray!? Every time I look at them I see different colors. I'm SO confused and the pics on the wheeldude.com website aren't helping...

I guess the easiest way to describe it, is that there are two coats. The base coat is a dark gunmetal/anthracite color. Then there is a very high gloss coat that reflects light a lot. Hyper black looks very different in different lights.

 

Personally, I really like the effect and my main set of wheels has a similar finish.

I'm thinking of going with hyper silver. Would that be the same deal - silver base coat with reflective top coat? How different would that look? Like chrome or something?

Kind of, but it doesn't have the same brilliance as chrome. It also differs between manufacturer a bit. I have some AME wheels in Hyper Silver and the base color looks a bit darker than the Rota Hyper Silver, and the Rota Hyper Silver top coat doesn't seem quite as reflective.

I ordered some Torques in Hyper Silver 17x8 for my ABP LGT. I'll take pics once they're on. Still not exactly what you were looking for though.

if I find time in the next few weeks (can't promise that) I'll be trying to get my Hoosiers mounted on my hyperblack torques before the first autox of the Reno season. Like I said though, its GRP.
