dan_m
I picked up some inexpensive brembo take-offs that were cosmetically beat up some and rather than going the touchup paint route I decided to have my painter have a go at them, I basically told him do the best you can and que sera, sera I'll see how they hold up on the field... & nah no hi-temp caliper paint and just vinyl stickers /w clear coat on top http://www.pbase.com/frankcoti/image/91848709.jpg

JohnnyGT08
They're gonna fry the first time you get frisky with the brakes... Looks good now though NEVER ARGUE WITH A STUPID PERSON. THEY WILL DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL, THEN BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
dan_m
fry? nah, the calipers won't get that hot since the car won't be track driven, I could always add some titanium backing plates to be on the safe side tho ( that's an overkill imo )
fweasel
Well, seeing as the Brembo paint, which is hi-temp, turns into Brownbos at the track, I'm guessing the rears will likely be fine, but the fronts will discolor. Otherwise, they look nice and shiney. If it doesn't work out, paint them hi-temp black next time around. ignore him, he'll go away.
dan_m
yeah I saw some pix over at nabisco funny how stock brembos discolor like that, some have added titanium shims for good results so I may go that route to be on the safe side (only 60$ or so )

fweasel
I hope mine don't turn black... You used paint specifically designed for brake caliper temps. Should be fine. Although one could argue that black would look better:lol: ignore him, he'll go away.
