LGT Dave
No, that's a cover, filler, cap... whatever you want to call it... You can't buy or hold or install a delete... After looking on NASIOC, it looks like a lot of people call them roof rail delete moldings or trim. I guess after that some people decided they didn't like saying such a long phrase and started simply calling them deletes instead.
Leonardo
Ok, look at the roof line and notice the "deletes" or mouldings: http://www.japanparts.com/images/ImageFromDB.php?base=1&no=11817 http://www.japanparts.com/images/ImageFromDB.php?base=1&no=4418 http://www.japanparts.com/images/ImageFromDB.php?base=1&no=824 http://www.japanparts.com/db/parts_detail.php Prety sure someone has to have tested them as too many people say that foe sure it won't fit. BDII
Maybe I'll buy some JDM deletes to see if they fit Need forum help? Private Message legGTLT
Leonardo
I do belive they work as they wouldn't have any more roof rack systems than we do. I mean our rails and the OBS. Why have a third one for the JDM roof. If you look in the first pic, it almost looks like our roof line. only diference is our rails are mounted on a higher base to clear the roof. I think! BDII
we have a hump for the SR they don't Need forum help? Private Message legGTLT
Leonardo
not a hump, I belive it's the same size only ours are mounted higher by the "hump" you mention. Wouldn't be cost effective for Subaru to have 3 mounting systems.
BDII
but it is to have 3 different turbo set ups for the legacy? Need forum help? Private Message legGTLT
Leonardo
Engine wise, yes as they use that engine over there and abroad. Body wise, no! But to each his own. We'll see soon enough.

Aczwild
They will not work due to the humps, the deletes are designed without the humps in mind, they will not fit inside/flush with the humps JDM'd All to hell Thanks Jimmy @ Hkc-Speed.com! Leonardo
Nope. I think RavSpec ordered them to inspect them but we need someone to remove the headliner and document with pics the mounting points of our version. It's a good idea to have them made because even the Outback XT here and overseas will be able to use them, not just the US market.
AW4BYT
These will go into production in the Spring I have already contracted out a vendor to make them and the price should be between $150 and $200 unpainted. Hate to revive and old thread but did these ever get produced?
BDII
No. I believe I hit a roadblock with having a mold a made because I wouldn’t sign a waiver releasing the vendor from liability if he used my car and damaged it.
