RangerMan
I guess they will have to stop using the "It's what makes a Subaru a Subaru" in their commercials. I want the return of the 360 myself!
47ka
Posted here already: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75336 Let's hope they retain AWD and boxers on the current models.

Penguin
Subaru is going to the dogs... No, they are turning into a trim level of Toyota, which is worse in my book.

RangerMan
Why this is in "vs. other cars" subforum. Should go to News & Rumors. That's easy...it turns out is already there and I am kind of stupid... To make this about other cars...Toyota sucks and I really don't want Subaru to be another trim level of the Camry. RangerMan
Not worried about it. I wonder if that is what lovers of the 442 said about Olds...

SubLo
Whats a 442? Ugh..!!!! Sacreligious words! Look it up! It was one of the great musclecars of the Musclecar Era. The late 80's version was crap (had a 307 if IIRC). The Hurst Olds models looked similar and had some nifty shifters Ahhh teh youngsters. ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...
RangerMan
Whats a 442? My point exactly... What happens when some of the great Subaru cars have that as the response... One of the great American muscle cars in the same league as the Chevelle SS. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldsmobile_442 Look up the W30 model with a Olds 455 V8 that generated over 500 ft-lb of torque. My first car was a Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme...my dream car was a 442 for a LONG time...
Opie
Finally! As long as these are additions to a lineup that still includes boxer engines and AWD I'm all for expanding their offerings (and market share).
SLegacy99
I think its pretty lame if they start offering inline 4s.

I enjoyed my dad's Aurora, though the 4.0L V8 as not all that powerful. 250 hp, 260 tqs.
iyalla
If you aren't boxer and awd then what are you? Well you are the poor bastard who is now jumping in the sedan arena that Nissan, Toyota and Honda rule! And they will show no mercy. I think someone has been feeding the corporate heads at Subaru some ego inducing drugs.
Guest
They are nuts. These cars have had three signature features: frameless windows, AWD, boxer. One is already gone.
bms231
maybe they shouldn't start offering i4s and fwd and instead stop charging so much for their cars they will sell more imo. I always wanted a subaru but the price tag at age 23 (back in the day) scared me off.
