johnAWD
Not sure what the MAF housing diameter is on the CAI. Which turbo are you upgrading to, and how much power do you forsee making?

Infamous1
See if your shop can weld in one of these, then no need to worry about the intake. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Subaru-WRX-STI-Blow-Thru-MAF-Mounting-Flange-Aluminum_W0QQitemZ160129495646QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item160129495646
edmundu
If I recall, it was virtually the same as stock....IIRC 68-69mm. THe outside diam of the AEM tube is just a over 70mm, so with 1mm wall thickness it should be about what I said. In any event, I made 350whp on it in 75-80* shop air temps, and it was pulling 4.8-4.82v, so there was room for a bit more....

The AVO is a bit bigger, and likely easier to tune then the Perrin. Full tune of 68HTA, KSTech 73 MAF, Racer X FMIC and ID1000s................by the DataLog Mafia!!! GTTuner
Bigger may not be better. Check with some tuners and get some opinions on that. The Typhoon has a smaller dia than others and Jon at TDC said it flowed better, you need some velocity to spin nice too.
