Pics of the new Boostjunkie Performance header!

Sorry about the delays guys. I've had a couple other projects occupying my time, so the headers have on the back burner for the last month. I should be getting a production run started soon.

Have these been dyno tested?

Some me installed pics of the headers on an LGT. Thanks to awdg35killer for letting me use his car as a test mule. The headers fit extremely well. Pretty much dropped in like a glove. No clearance issues anywhere. Even the stock undertray fits fine. I did leave off the oil filter door just to take away any chance of it melting. No dyno results yet since I we had another car on going on the dyno at the same time, but we'll see if that can be worked in next week.

Here are the pics:

And since everyone wants to know how EL headers change the sound, here are sound clips with and without the EL headers with the new Megan Racing single tip (on each muffler) catback.

That sounds killer! Any cats on the car?

Nope. awdG35killer's car is catless. Even so, at idle the car was really quiet and it sounded great on the road as well. No drone, a nice deep, smooth tone and no Honda swarm of bees

awdG35killer should be posting up his driving impressions soon, but he must like it since he told me that he definite wants one when I get them in. I believe he mentioned that the power delivery was smoother and the turbo seemed to spool up quicker too.

Catless Invidia UP/DP

MR catback (dual tip)

AVO panel Filter

this is all compared to the stock header of course...

yes you do lose most of the boxer rumble. things quiet down in the engine bay at idle and WOT. theres minimal to no droning on the freeways. girls used to complain of the noise in my car but over the weekend they noticed it was better ;)

in cabin and out of the car i can say its no honda rice sound. as the valet guy drove off, all i could hear was the deep, low rumble of the MR catback. in cabin i could hear phone convos and my music better since all you can hear from the engine bay is spool and air thru the intake and the BOV.

the thing feels great. definitely more power. im protuned but at times acceleration and partial throttle gets a little jolty/jumpy. both noticeably smoothed out with this on. we didnt get to dyno and compare my old chart to a new one but spool comes a BIT faster than usual.

well, now im left again with the nasty chunk of crap subaru calls a header :(

thanks again for lettin me test it out Paul and HURRY UP! i dont wanna have new-car-part-blueballs forever!!!

I repo-ed the headers from Erwin. He had them for a few days. When I pulled them off the plastic undertray was 100% perfect. No melting or distortion at all.

Groovy. Thanks for the update.

Paul, I seem to remember that you stated that coatings will not be an option for your EL header. Would you suggest exhaust wrap?

As of right now, I'm narrowing down my exhaust setup prior to going "bigger" on the snail side.

I just had some bad luck with coatings in the past, so I won't be offering them. You are welcome to get them coated on your own, but that will void your warranty. The same goes for wrapping. Frankly though, you really don't need to wrap or coat. It really doesn't make much of a difference.

Subscribing. My wife complains about drone on the freeway at about 75mph (I have UP/catted DP, x02 CB). If this would help reduce drone in the wagon, plus increase power, and stock plastic tray is fine, I may be in. Looking forward to dyno result of stock turbo, stock manifold vs. EL.
