j255c
Ever since i did the swap i pay attention to things a lot more. I sort of run a pre flight check every time i get into car, oil, coolant, vac line double checks. I noticed more recently a black sludge like build up in my coolant can along the sides. The coolant also appears to have a light film of oil ontop of it everytime after it has been sitting over night. I slosh around the coolant can and it turns green very quickly. Ideas? I wouldnt think HG car hasnt overheated and there is no loss of performance. Just very weird to me. 06 TB EVO IX SE stock turbo monster subaru hater
JOE_1985
run a quart of seafoam/atf mix though your engine before your next oil change, say 500-1000 miles before. coolant may be dirty
Opie
If there is oil in your coolant you have a headgasket issue. Have a hydrocarbons test performed on your coolant (most any shop can do it), if there are hydrocarbons present in your coolant it will only come from 2 places...1-Headgasket issue or 2-someone put oil in the coolant overflow by accident. j255c
inconclusive results w/ the seafoam. I did however change my oil and there is no coolant in it, so i dont understand how oil sludge build up is getting in my coolant. Car still running strong as hell. Any other ideas? 06 TB EVO IX SE stock turbo monster subaru hater

You can't be so sure of no coolant in oil unless you do UOA.
rao
You check the vacuum lines every time before you drive the car You can easily have any competent shop check for oil in the coolant and hydrocarbons in the coolant (fuel) Do that before you start chasing your tail. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
