She actually played the trumpet fairly well. Decent sound and didn't "cack" (as we say in the trade for splitting notes, etc.) much at all. But she kept playing and acting like nothing was wrong. Did she never have a rehearsal? Did she have a tape she practiced with that was in the wrong key? I mean really, how the eff does something like that happen? Oh, the humanity!!!!!!!!!!!
