wukindada
I'm always tempted to trade my LGT for a GTO ... the sound is just .. amazing. Also, no GTO thread is complete without this clip: http://youtube.com/watch?v=sGveOp7aC1Q whipple *drool* I would have had to throw the passenger out of the car...... Car did sound mean though:cool: Test driving a 06MT with longtubes & catback this weekend. Love the sound of this one with basically a cam & bolt ons... http://videos.streetfire.net/video/87f24b54-90a7-4ac9-895b-99a8016e896a.htm 447whp/409rwtq Another vid of a 04 GTO with DR's & a few bolt ons...no aftermarket cam http://videos.streetfire.net/video/48a47ab8-affa-4485-8876-988800a42f7c.htm Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!! sofi
raced a 6.0 gto...it was neck and neck, he actually got a head start. Poor driver? i dunno, just saying what transpired. GTO: CBE LGT: header, UP, DP, e-tune, stage 2 clutch, lightweight flywheel Oh ya, it was about 30 degrees out. When you consider the mods you're still comin in roughly $5,000 less than the GTO, and you can still have fun in the snow without wiping out (some of us) Originally raced a 5.7 both cars were stock...beat it to 60 then it started to pull away, rapidly. GTTuner
Wow. This is out of left field. We're all entitled to our "opinions" particularly about styling - I'll give you that. Personally, I like the understated shape. But "GTO's suck? Overweight, undersprung?" Have you ever driven one? Firstly, stock they'll put the smack down almost all our cars save for some highly modified Stg III cars. They are 'only' 300 lbs or so heavier than our cars, they handle decently for their size (IRS & IFS) and their suspensions are tuned for the masses just like our cars are. This is why many of us upgrade suspensions quick fast in a hurry. They're ridiculously fun to drive with intoxicating low-mid end power and an exhaust noise that will make you cream your pants. They could be a tad lighter and the trunk does "suck" because gas tank relocation. If you're simply hating on American cars just to hate on American cars, I don't get it. No I don't hate Americian cars, on the contrary we have many fine vehicles in the market. An Aussie rebadged as a Pontiac does nothing for me. And yes, I have driven one. I like my friends 02 SS better. Maybe I'm being harsh on the the Goat, but I'm a Pontiac guy from way back when a Pontiac did not have a Chevrolet engine. Those were real chiefs. BTW, my 18g MAY not beat a 6 litre, but it'll sure make the goat driver scratch his head after wondering "was that a Subaru"?
