Beanboy
Curious about the suspension and how close it is to the LGT... It is mentioned in the NASIOC FAQ on the Impreza about how at least the front "the same forward chassis members and suspension pickup points" should be close, and the rear sounds like it switched to the same/similar design as compared to the LGT as well, "rear suspension is now more compact which means a wider & lower cargo area. This is made possible by the use of rear dual A-arms." How were the same-gen chassis Legacy and Impreza in terms of suspension swapability? Any thoughts or comments as to how close they really will be/what might work? /lgt owner jealous of impreza aftermarket part prices -B http://www.standardshift.com
Jaxx
i suspect that it is close but may not be interchangeable as the 2000-2004 was the same style as the bp/bl but not quite the same i am wondering if they did this to increase rear leg room .. and push the back seat back .. which would explain why the rear is so much smaller (no longer dog approved)

nKoan
Yeah I think we'll have to wait and see. Its supposedly built on a slightly modified version of the BL/BP platform, but they could have tweaked it just enough so it doesn't work.

Exactly...there will be many parts that switch from legacy to WRX and vice versa.... Which could mean cheaper parts all around...I hope:rolleyes:
RobY
The rear suspension is diffrent, the picture of the suspension above is of the Legacy Offical Specs of the 2008 WRX has the rear suspension as a True Double Wishbone with upper A arms. The legacy has a trailing link multilink suspension.
