BigInALegacy
I like the all-flat-black look on your car. I think the QSM is too dark to pull it off though.
jmo
well with my taillights and windows tinted, it just goes with the qsm and black theme, plus what color could i have done...

johndas
So the best way to attach a badge to the mesh is? I liked the wire move ... any other suggestions? J
DocHolladay23
I just used a bit of quicksteel (putty similar to bondo but easier to use) and attached a screw to each side of the emblem backing. That makes it easy to move/remove if need be. I might move mine back to center because no one but me and 2 of my friends seem to like where it is on my grill:( but it worked really well! g2redgsr
lol im about to do the grill mod and i was going to put it on the right like that...i still dont know if i like it though....thinking about deleting the emblem all together...
DocHolladay23
To be honest I put it there in the beginning to make it look different and stand out, and I didn't like it at all. But after a couple glances it really grew on me... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] You want stickers? Hit me up here!!! You want a shirt? Hit me up here!!! D_J
did this to mine today, flat black on everything. i think they came out great. also painted my grill and fog surrounds since it was really nice out http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff34/f47racing/IMG_8961.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff34/f47racing/IMG_8960.jpg Sweet...that looks so much better than chrome. How do you take-out the fog surrounds?
D_J
I did mine a few weeks ago... How did you get the back emblem off? Do you have to break the pegs and re-glue?
DocHolladay23
On the back I ended up resorting to a small flatheaded screwdriver. I scratched the paint really lightly (light enough to buff out) but it was under the badge anyways so I didn't really care. I don't know how anyone got them off with string, maybe they got it REALLY hot? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] You want stickers? Hit me up here!!! You want a shirt? Hit me up here!!! JOE_1985
i agree that the non chrome look is better but with flat black grill and fog light covers gives it a base model look to me but to each is own at least it looks stock
hutru01
I really like the look of your grill D_J. I wished I had had the patience to sand and paint my grill. I got frustrated and ordered an RBS one.
kober1
First of all just wanted to say the murrered out look is bada**, great job on that bud. But has anyone tried to dremel out just the wings and then do something similar (ie. flat black or satin black). Because if you do a good job like he did, you can barely see the vertical post and you will still get the desired look most everyone is after with the emblem floating in the middle of the grill with not much around it. Anyway just a thought.
hutru01
^ It would be tough to make the it look clean, but that is an idea to think about. It would require lots of sanding, which honestly, might be easier than dremeling out the whole thing and adding bondo. (Plus you still have the cutouts on the left and right sides to deal with. No matter how you look at it, DIY stock grills are a PITA...
ciadrew
How did you get the back emblem off? Do you have to break the pegs and re-glue? Just floss some fishing wire back and forth from the two sides, top and bottom, then slide a wall paper scraper (wrapped in paper) underneath to pry off. Heating it in the sun helps a lot too.
RJS5689
Are the 2008 emblems different? I have both emblems off but cant get the stars off.... lousypirate
I guess my question is... is the badge itself completely flat on the back... because there is a process where i work that would work quite well if it is completely flat. markbrotens
I'm sure this response is about 3 months late but the back of the emblem is concave, not flat.
lousypirate
that's quite alright, they haven't been touched yet because of me heading off for school and the weather getting colder.
