The '08 3.0R and the 2.5GT wagon were both silver, not Diamond Gray. They were probably this new silver.. It's a bit darker than BSM. The '08 spec.B was in Diamond Gray. The cars101 website says no BSM, it's replaced with QSM.

thats funny because 5-6 years ago, subaru owners were complaining about the lack of grays in america that were avail in the euro and japan spec imprezas and legacies. i guess demand works in cycles, can't please everyone at any given time.

offering choices might go a long way toward helping.

the wrong colors at the wrong times tend to relegate products to the also-ran list. Appearance is important, no matter how much people wish it didn't matter.

Having the wrong colors before, being slow to change them, and still having the wrong colors, or at leased far too limited choices now just means that they are still well behind the curve in terms of product planning.

I think this 08 Legacy Spec B from the Toronto Auto Show is Diamond Grey.... but can someone else confirm. I was look for a sample pic of the new Quartz Silver.

The pictures in the toronto thread show the 3.0R and wagon in what we think to be quartz silver. A couple shades lighter than diamond gray.

BTW, Regal Blue, for 07, was still available on the 2.5i Legacy, but not the GT. Diamond Gray was vice versa.

Atlantic blue was discontinued and replaced with Newport Blue pearl. They are similar colors, but were not offered simultaneously. Garnet red was similarly discontinued, seemingly replaced by diamond gray metallic.

The only colors that continue unchanged are pearl white, and obsidian black. Titanium Silver was limited to the 06 Spec B, Brilliant Silver has been replaced by Quartz Silver for 2008. Atlantic blue replaced, regal blue demoted, and garnet red discontinued in favor of another gray.

As Eric Cartman would say: "That is SOOO Weak!"

My XT is Diamond Grey, which I like a lot (the term "dead sexy" comes to mind), but I probably would have taken a nice bright red over it. The Subie turbos are too sporty to not have some bright colors available.

I'm hoping this quartz color is like a metallic whiteish silver. I think it's interesting that it comes w/ the charcoal interior. I love like cars w/ dark interiors, this may be worth a look.

Im pretty sure the 08 LGT shown on Subaru.com is Quartz (basically silver).
