Make sure the bulb is mounted flush/flat to the housing. If its not mounted flat then you would get something like you're experiencing. MiniStiGuy
your bulb needs to be replaced. you can't scratch, touch, or anything to the bulbs surface or it will tamper with your light output. By the looks of yours it looks like it was severly scratched. If its one of those lifetime warranty kits then get a replacement but regardless you need a new bulb. MiniStiGuy
no it shouldn't break or anything but you'll just have crap output. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
Kellen Woodfield
well thats fine cuz i have them till friday and then hopefully my new 1s will be in... i had someone install them and watched them and they kinda half assed it... but i took it apart and re did it the other day to figure it out for myself... so im gunna use every precaution for the new 1s like latex gloves so i dont touch the bulb etc... plus someone saw how mine was kinda dull and said he would still buy them off me to have the ballasts and one light and he would buy a bulb when that 1 dies so screw it lol... lets hope its the bulb that is bad... Kellen Woodfield
ok so i did a little test to see some things... i sat basically covering the entire light on each side to see what the other side light looks like... when i covered the driver side light, the passenger side light looked perfect... when i covered the driver side light the driver light was very dispersed and all over the place... it is not as bright and not as centered... it is a brand new bulb and is flush in the housing... i even tried a different ballast... idk what else i can do??? please im begging for any suggestions... Kellen Woodfield
ok so here is my best effort to show you the light dispersion patterns of the headlights... the first picture is off the light produced from the passeneger side headlight while the driver side was covered... the light looks good http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2245005380085502573WNkUdq the next picture is of the light coming from the driverside headlight while the passenger side headlight is covered... it is very dispersed http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2230587170085502573SDnnDW this picture is from the middle of the car coming from just above the top of the windshield... you can see how uneven the lighting is and how the passenger side is healthu and the driver side is almost non existant.. http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2107424790085502573RMIymY this last picture is of the lights up close on my garage.. you can see how defined the passenger side light is and how weak the driver side is..http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2003131620085502573kRMDkz so what is your take on my situation? MiniStiGuy
based off of this picture: http://i32.tinypic.com/2nc1ddt.jpg I'd say it seems placed correctly because the beam isn't hologramming above the cutoff and it isn't causing any disarray of the cutoff like it would with a mismounted bulb usually does. Have you changed bulbs from the passenger one to the driver side yet? OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
MiniStiGuy
if you can take a picture of the headlight with the lights on so that I can see the pattern of light on the actually headlight that could also help. basically point at the headlight with the lights on but be sure to not get a glare from the light. I'm looking for the pattern of light that is on the headlamps clear cover. kinda of how mine is a U shape like this because of the bulb type I use. http://i25.tinypic.com/2cf5qie.jpg Also try and take a shot like this for me so I can see its mounting. (Ignore the circle thats just the horizontal aiming bolt) http://i32.tinypic.com/i5u6c1.jpg OEM HID's Rx330 Retro

MiniStiGuy
first we'll see if its even projecting correctly by the headlamp beam pattern like mine being a U shaped. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
MiniStiGuy
also your beam patterns look like your bulbs could be mis-mounted sum because of the slight hilling effect. http://i32.tinypic.com/2nc1ddt.jpg It should be more of a Step like this: http://i31.tinypic.com/107866s.jpg OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
Kellen Woodfield
ok ill take a picture of the projection on the lclear part of the headlight... if it is not projecting right is there a way to fix that... also how can the bulbs be miss mounted if there is only 1 way to fit it in the housing.. if i back my car up a few feet meaning more than the 3 feet i am from my garage i see that step on the passenger side and slightly on the driver side... MiniStiGuy
the flash is killing off the glass ones. (try macro mode and shoot at an upward angle so that the chrome housings don't reflect and get in the way. Kind of like the same angle of my shot is what you're looking for. Also by yourself just do a comparrison by looking at the glass beam spots and you can tell which section might be off from the good vs the bad. The bulb shots need to be taken in daylight and with the lights off because at night the lights glare up to much and it takes away from the shot your looking to get. Also take these in Macro mode because it focus's better. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
