Vimy101
Im saying the HP difference is BS not the cars features/ flaws The dyno results and published quarter mile and 0-60 times do seem to indicate that the stock Spec.B has more power. dtmenace
Ah' date=' it's the same engine you guys. It's just tested to a different standard now. If you test the '07's to the old standard you'd still get "250/250". (btw...the torque is actually closer to 270 on the legacy gt or spec b....look at a stock dyno)[/quote'] you didn't know he knew that

dtmenace
 fortunately, that's not the most important detector that you need "up & running" edit: although it is probably the most important one to have here!!
deimos
If these pics will actually post as I am a n00b in the realm of file hosting... I pulled these from another thread, they arent mine. Here is the difference in a nutshell between the spec and the GT First pic is GT with stock springs launching, notice the weight transfer? The other pic is same car launching after iON spings installed (nevermind the rest of the spec suspension bits and tires), notice the minimal weight transfer? its called a couple of tenths... Stock GT suspension sucks ass (for the power), the extra spec hp makes up for the extra 100lbs thats IT! If subie wanted to give "more power" to the spec there would be a nice torque bump as well, but there isnt
SLegacy99
OTOH, NA 2.5i Legacy with 175hp feels so sloooow, that maybe the powertrain loss is actually more than 20-24%? Last time I checked, 18% for the manual and 20-22% for the auto.
Guest
Last time I checked, 18% for the manual and 20-22% for the auto. Source? Btw, have anyone seen a dyno graph for a 05+ 2.5i?

Love the pics. A lot of the time people post up how they want to add headers, up pipe, down pipe, this map or that map, but forget that suspension and tires are going to get you gains as well. Thanks.
