waverunner
getting ready to switch to synthetic transmission fluid cant find the type of fluid to use.dont hate on me,want to use either redline or amsoil and want to make sure i get the right kind. leaning towards the amsoil because i am able to buy it at cost and it has been around for over 35 years good stuff. thanks, i appreciate it! Prime Power
I just checked it and they added it to the list of what we can use. Will do the whole flush myself with it @ 30k.

VTGT
has automatic synthetic fluid been proven to really help automatic transmissions?
Prime Power
well it will certainly lower temps. Some say though that it can cause slippage. Don't know for sure. Just added the bg stuff today. When the time comes though at 30k, I will use amsoil.
Polo08816
Fluids Power Steering Fluid......AF3 Synthetic Universal Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATFQT) Power Steering Fluid......AF3 Torque-Drive Synthetic Transmission Fluid (ATD1G) Brake Fluid......HB AMSOIL Brake Fluid DOT-3 (BF3SN) Clutch Fluid......HB AMSOIL Brake Fluid DOT-3 (BF3SN) I wonder why Amsoil recommends 2 different ATFs for power steering fluid. Does anyone know the differences in either and if there will be a difference in feeling? It would seem pointless to order the Torque-Drive ATF at first glance because at least you can use the Synthetic Universal ATF for both the transmission and power steering.
