  1. I finally took this thing out. Almost nothing on it but that is due to my bypass filter. 60k miles on the car.
  2. What about the trailer. If you add a tranny cooler I would say 3k and you should be fine power wise. Obviously the trailer handling and braking needs to be considered.
  3. No room on mine for the petcock and I had to order extra hose. This came out like a week after I installed mine. Argh.
  4. No cooler for the stick but I truly believe you will have no problem towing it. Only issue may be getting it out of the water, easier in the auto but I wouldn't be too worried. I went to harbor freight and picked up a cheap sway control kit. It helped.
  5. Boats by the way are much easier to tow as the break the wind. If you have a box trailer or something like that I would tow less weight than I would with a boat.
  6. I just did it this morning. Great instructions. The 07's have screws instead of the torx bit on the inside. I used the actual torx bit to get the outside ones. I don't feel so good about that bumper after taking it off. I am real impressed with this mod, it compliments my theme well. I baked them @ 200 for 15 min. Now just to take care of the tails. I used the sylvania silverstars that look silver, rainbowish and light up amber. It looks better lit up too. Great stuff.
  7. Got it fixed. Read your instructions wrong first and hooked it up to the part coming from the connector. Well, that blew a fuse. Replaced fuse and wired it up according to instructions. Working great so far. Thanks. However, it doesn't unlock the tail on the wagon, which is odd because before if you pressed it twice it would. Oh well, I have another button for that. Thanks
  8. Put it back to original state and can't even lock the doors with the remote or from the inside using the lock lever. HELP.
  9. Yeah my when towing my quads, my avalanche gets about the same mpg's as the OBXT so I just use it most of the time.
  10. Oh I agree. Just saying it is way pickier. I will pull the large quad all the way up, but if it moves back while in tow I am in trouble.
  11. If you have an auto definitely get a tranny cooler. I had a 4 person waverunner I used to haul, maybe about 1200lbs no problem. Now I have 2 quads on a trailer and if not positioned right it sways badly. I have a sway control device I use, but the outback doesn't have enough weight to overcome it sometimes.
  12. No pics, figuered yours would suffice if anyone wanted any. I have the spt intake with a k&n filter and still have the snorkel attached. Air flow should be fine. I don't think the top of the plate would get too hot. Especially with the snorkel feeding cold air to it.
  13. Yep, no other way to do it. I did find a hot air tube. It is resting against the down pipe, that is fine right? So glad I got it done. The filter I used protudes a little into the fender well but it doesn't appear it will hit. I turned the tires and it looks to have enough room. We will see.
  14. Well, got home after work and started. I have the bracket and bypass plate mounted. Tomorrow morning I will get the lines ran and the spin on adapter done. Then tidy it up. That was some work getting through that frame. Glad it is done and on.
  15. Anyone have a good pic. I think I am about to give up on finding it.
  16. I should have room then, I will get on this next week. I went to Oreilly and they didn't have the tube. I will try another store or 2 today.
  17. I spent about 3 hours on the car this morning to not find it. I found the one up top, and no filter was in it. I found one more at the end of the line but there was no way to get to it. I removed 3 bolts attached but only one was a banjo and no filter was in it. Do the 07's have these, or did I waste my time?
  18. Well, almost ready. The extra line was on backorder so I will have to wait a week. I ran into hell finding those fitting, not exactly the ones you have but should work. I am having no luck though finding that hot air tubing. Where did you get it?
  19. I have one on my truck, and have for about 3 years now. No problems. Also, all large diesel engines have these, and the power plants I work on also have bypass filters. The only concern one really should have with these, is to ask themself is it overboard? I say no because I plan to remove the banjo bolt filters and use this to cover the smaller particles.
  20. Well, placed the order. I have leave 17-21 march so I will probably install it then. They wanted $50 for the 90 degree fittings. That is crazy, and I am a dealer. I will go to the local store and pay a few bucks instead. Ordered the eao-15, I hope that is smaller. Couldn't find a dimensions page. How long do you think it took you to install it all?
