O2 Sensor Socket: Would this one work?

Looks a little deep for me, too....

Might work fine for the manifold O2, but for the 3rd-cat O2, you might need to drop the pipe/cat section in order to use this particular socket/wrench.....

Your local auto-parts store should carry the same item, only quite a bit shorter (and "crow's foot," for lack of better terminology), for about the same price as you'd have from that auction + shipping.

7/8 or 22mm, yes. If you can get enough contact to keep from stripping it. Another way is to unplug it at the Molex and remove the O2 from the pipe once off the car. This is a good way to protect your knuckles if the O2 doesn't want to budge

just be careful when reinstalling the O2. It doesn't need much torque to seal. We literally shattered two offset O2 sockets trying to remove it.

per my thread at the top of this page (that you stickied yourself)

Front 02 sensor torque spec ...................22.1 ft-lbs
