  1. Check with A-Plus Salvage on Hwy F in Sussex, WI.
  2. TSK3 is a kit (sleeve and throw out bearing) that is placed over the transmission quil (the housing over the transmission input shaft). It is primary used as a fix for having a damaged quil. But it also makes for smoother clutch engagement. The dealer discovered the bad master cylinder when they attempted to bleed the clutch. It would not bleed without an extreme amount of vacuum being applied. I believe that the master cylinder has been bad for about 25K miles, which would explain why I had problems bleeding it. Should have been an indicator to replace it, but I had never bleed a clutch before and didn't recognize the issue. There is really nothing to show concerning the master cylinder, but the clutch is foobarred really nicely.
  3. Mine squealed.... Turned out root cause was a bad master cylinder for the clutch. This caused the clutch to not disengage completely, which resulted in the clutch eating itself and squealing on engagement. I was less than happy when we pulled it all apart.... I can take pictures of the damage if anyone is interested. Btw, I replaced the flywheel surface, pressure plate and friction disc. As well as installing a TSK3 kit. Engagement is great now!
  4. Silver LGT Wagon with License plate "PAGEL" going towards the Hospital in Waukesha. Debadged...
  5. Um.... Statically 1 or 2 Spec B's with issues is not a confirmation that Spec B's are having this same problem.
  6. I don't know, I can't tell... Is this officially the OT thread for the North Central Region?
  7. Status update? Also, curious how old everyone struts are. Could this be a combined issue of bushing and warn struts?
  8. Anyone approached Whiteline about making Legacy specific ones? Might be worth the time for them, based on the number of people in this thread.
  9. I was going to show up and say high on both days..
  10. MonkeyShack, sorry for derailing your thread. But, in an effort to get your issue resolved.... 1. When you replace the fuse, does it blow immediately, or after you attempt to use the horn? 2. Where did you leave the car for a week? Is it possible some animal made a nest in your bumper? What I'm thinking is that the horn is either defective (shorting out) or the wire had been cut/came loose and it contacting the chassis causing a short.
  11. I will be on a plane to San Francisco... That's my excuse...
  12. Well, found the issue... The horn wire was corroded and broken in the harness. But, here is the kicker, it was the only wire like that. This would have never happened if one, the wiring harness was properly protected, wires where exposed, and two if the wire had not broken away from a retainer and were rubbing against the inner side of the fender. Attached is a picture of the wire harness in question after I pulled it out for repair, sorry no before and after pictures. Also attached is a picture of the corroded wire. FYI, the horn now works after repairing the broken wire. Also, the harness is completely covered and protected and has been restrained so it will not rub against the fender any longer. http://www.disorder.com/gallery/d/10722-2/img_0520.jpg http://www.disorder.com/gallery/d/10726-1/img_0526.jpg
  13. Had enough time to determine that there is a break between the Horn switch and the relay. It's somewhere between the fuse/relay box under the hood and the BIU plug under the dash. So, my next steps is to inspect the wiring harness in between there, which will require the removal of the drivers side wheel and wheel well cover to get to the harness. My hope is there is something that explains this break, if not, I worry that other wires might be affected in the future...
  14. Horn works from the relay location, the relay is not getting activated. Guess I could pull the fuse box apart and check out the connections.
  15. I already replaced the relay.... I can contact the terminals and activate the horn. So, something is wrong with getting the relay activated...
  16. Um, my horn is not working as well, but I have no blown fuses.... Looks like I will be doing some investigating.
  17. Spotted Silver 2.5 Legacy heading west on Moreland Blvd, I was heading east. I waved, but probably to late. FYI, close your mouth, your going to catch bugs!
  18. I was unable to make it...
