SVXWRX
Very nice. Did you take them off to do this? no, i'm far too lazy. i just broke my back laying on the ground to do it. i only cleaned and polished the back and side parts that are visible. G.T.Subie
Thats exactly what I would have done. Now I know I can get good results leaving them on. Denial is your best friend

mbacis
Looks good. Your picture reminds me how much I hate how low the stock tips sit though.
twisted
Looks good. Your picture reminds me how much I hate how low the stock tips sit though. good point..if they hv a cut out in the bumper for the tips the tips should be close to the cut out and not 6 inches below....attention to detail was apparently not one of their priorities. SVXWRX
Nice job!!! Where's a good place to pick some of this up at? Cost? Sorry, I'm being lazy and you've already done it, so there! http://www.1010tires.com/images/accessories/motherspolish_large.jpg get it at auto parts chain stores, Walmart, or wherever fine auto cleaning products are sold? $4-$8? (i forget). you can use a rag wrapped on a popsicle stick/pencil/etc. to get the hard-to-reach spots. the mufflers could probably be made to look like mirrors if you went psycho on them long enough. HansGT
found it. did it. looks really good. i forgot what my cans and tips looked like! it feels like i have aftermarket on....ah until i start it up and hear only a quite stock burble. anyway, thanks. only thing is....with everything being all shiny, it just helps point out the fact that my drivers side can sits a tad lower than the other. have to fix that now. LegGTLT
Update: Just finally did it this weekend. Only one pic of the dirty can though. LOTS of clean ones though! Mine didn't quite come back to shine as the OP (I have 30k on mine and only was slightly washing the top when I washed my car) but it was good enough for me!!! Spent about 20-25 mins on each one. Cleaned only the visable parts like the OP. Please PM joeleodee For All Site Questions. coxx
FWIW I used to use super fine #00000 steel wool to clean my borla tips. That & some soap & water & they came out great. "Barack Obama, mothaf#%@a! Barack Obama! I'm the president...of hittin' the ass!" -this is not a political view it's merely a quote from a hilarious tv show.
