CasopoliS
I want to mount 2 horns to the front of the car behind the grill. Too many idiots on the road and I want a new sound anyway, almost got swiped again this morning and the old lady did not even hear my horn. At the light I said "you almost hit me... did you even hear my horn!!!!????". She replied... "WHAT?!!!???". No traffic noise, we were at a dead stop.... she must have been deaf. Serisouly lady... some people should not be driving. Anyway.... I am looking for Hella Supertones or Bosch Supertones. The Bosch are a deeper tone from what I hear and are louder than the Hellas. They are silver in color, which might contrast with the car (ABP) better than the red-accented Hellas. Where can I buy these? I tried froogle and Ebay and came up with nothing. I found some Hella Supertones on ebaymotors, but that was it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
forestir
You might want to do a search on NASIOC forums. I recall seeing discussion on this topic over there, including some vendor references.

Guest *Jedimaster*
Here's a link to some: HornsPlus Automotive: Air horns for sport cars, motorcycles, boats, and emergency vehicles I'm thinking of trying one of the two, but I'm not sure what the one on the right is all about- it looks like maybe it's louder or something. I bought the Twin Magnum from them (check link above). I am also going to add one Stebel Nautilus Compact. However for that one I found better price here: Stebel Nautilus Compact Dual-Tone 12-Volt Air Horn, 139 dB: Discount Motorcycle Accessories from California Sport Touring, Inc.=

Waxiboy
Thanks. I really wish I could get my hands on the Bosch horns. They are pretty tough to find Stateside. That is why I bought 2 sets, 1 for my LGT and 1 for my wife's Protege5.

PhilT
Which Hella Supertone horns did you all buy, looking on eBay I see different kits. Some are 500/300 Hz 118 dB and others are 375/300 Hz 113 dB. Obvious which are louder, but what about the larger frequency difference ? PhilT
So you don't know which ones you have Part No. 85115 or 85315 ? eBay Motors: Hella Supertone Horns Horn Kit PN: 85315 (item 280016050734 end time Aug-15-06 13:55:17 PDT) or eBay Motors: Hella Supertone Horns Horn Kit PN: 85115 (item 280014461958 end time Aug-10-06 13:01:36 PDT) Only $10 difference in price, but which sound better ? CasopoliS
85115, and from the pictures, they look better (red text rather than corny white). That is just looking at the pictures. I gave Patagonian my first born for these my supertones. No boxes came with . I want my kid back....
