3.0R brakes - as good as they look?

Keefe, from what I saw in the showroom, the brakes on the H6 are definitely bigger than those on the car with the 2.5 four-banger. The rotors on both ends are larger, and the rear ones are ventilated, as opposed to solid disks on the 2.5.

Nut Bucket, the Typhoon has cost me about 28,000 riyals so far (about $5,300). Break me even and it's yours. It has only 42,000 kms on it. This is a Saudi Typhoon. You can check out photos of the truck here:

I dont recall them being any different.. which 3.0R would you be refering to??? I think USDMs are different and run on 16" wheels? I dont remember.

the rims are 17"

would i like a little extra grab...yes

but i'm waiting on the issue of the lower arm bushing falling apart.

more grab will be more stress on them.

if i do i will get the hawk hps

You were probably comparing to a 2.5i and not the GT

The 2.5GTs come with 12.3" rotors up front and 11.3 rotors in the rear, both are vented.. I think you are looking at the 2.5i normal aspirated version?

The 2.5GTs (turbo) in the US need 17" rims to clear the calipers.. the 2.5i (NA) are 16" wheels..

The Legacy did away the solid disk since 04 for the rears..

Well, not a terrible deal but I'd have a hell of time getting it into the US. What trouble has it given you?

The latest? A piston pin crept out and scoffed the cylinder wall, and now it needs an engine rebuild.

Having stood still for years, everything went bad from spark plugs to piston rings, as well as ECM trouble, not to mention the scarsity of parts. All sorted out, but now the engine...
