GTsleeper
its emergancy only....... i dont know or heard of anyone doing it for a long period of time. long term use..... i would say not good
SLegacy99
Right. Just dont leave in long term, Id say more than 200 miles at a time. But if youre looking to save gas you wont. If youre lookin to have some FWD fun, you will.
legacy95
then what might break if i do this...cuz awd slows the thing down miserably...has anyone else tried this
LetItSnow
You don't need to ask anyone else. These answers are the ones everyone will give you. Sell your Legacy and buy something lighter with FWD.
legacy95
i have lumina w/ 252k on it and the head gasket finally blew and my dad is giving me his legacy and is slow as crap my car would rape the legacy im getting
hondas123
Well....at least you're getting a car. Right? Or are you buying it from your dad? - The Mortgage Man
legacy95
im getting it they seem to give me their cars that have tons of miles w/ some problems
LetItSnow
A free car beats your mountain bike. The NA Legacy is not a racecar, nor is it a fast car. The sooner you come to terms with this, the better off you'll be. Sell your Legacy and buy something lighter with FWD.
SLegacy99
or upgrade to 2.0L T or the 2.2L T. At the very least you can get a K & N air filter for 5 hp

SLegacy99
i have a 92 legacy front wheel drive and i swer that is faster than the 99 awd lgt that im driving now and the 92 was oh so mcuh fun peeling out at every turn, stop sign, stop light, chearping gears or at least 2nd so much fun how could this be? There is significantly less hp and I get that it would be losing less power to the wheels because of only having FWD, but this doesnt make sense. 0 - 60 on the 99 GT 5 speed is 7.8 The 92 is 8.3 ish. SLegacy99
Not that 7.8 is great, but I like it. Though ideally I would like a supercharger. That would be fun.

kkushner4474
my 99 redlined in 5th gear at 110 and the 92 was in 4th at about 5 thousand rpm and at 127...my 99 is jsut a 2.5 l no turbo
SLegacy99
Wait, youre '99 was done at 110 mph? Thats not right. Mine goes off the speedo. From what I have researched it is capable of low 130s.

legacy95
the lumina will beat my legacy on dry pavment and it also will on wet pavement..iv raced while its wet out and i can get it to hook...on sand there is a good chance but ice prob not

Impala00
Just thought ide chime in on this one. I drive a 2000 Chevy Impala with the 3.4 Liter V6, im friends with Legacy95 When we were on the highway going about 45 or so on the way back to his house he was driving the legacy, he was about a car and a half length infront of me then gunned it, so i gunned it too and about 5 seconds later i wasent even walking him, i was RUNNING on him 4+ car lengths ahead of him, thats even after he jumped the gun and was already a car and a half infront of me to begin with, i also walked his lumina on the highway, but not by as much, i can tell you that the lumina would definately kill the legacy
Aczwild
Your Lumina with 252K miles can rape a na legacy? I find that hard to believe. MAybe grab its boob or something, but not rape it. You forget its a 2.2, not the 2.5 JDM'd All to hell Thanks Jimmy @ Hkc-Speed.com! RIP Coxx & Thanks
