Legacy05
I had the AVO Catted DP and Helix UP-Pipe and TGV Delete done yesterday on my car. I have not gone and had the car custom tuned yet. When I picked up the car, the car drove great, drove it 30+ miles. Last night on the way home, while I was on the freeway with the cruise control on, the car would hesitate from time to time. Not the normal hesitation that can happen when you are pushing the car. I ended up driving home in 4th gear since it seemed to have helped. This morning, on the way to work as I pulled on the freeway, it was pretty bad in all gears. I ended up taking the side streets to work. I am beginning to think that it might be TGV related, but I am not sure. Since the car did seem to run better once I got closer to work. (Car was not fully warmed up when I left this morning, 65 out). I am going to call the shop this morning when they open and talk to them about it, but what do you guys think? Do I need to pony up for a custom tune now??? Also, I am not throwing any codes ... yet
rao
Too many possibilities. From what you have said so far I'd bet on an intake leak. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
PeterJMC
It could be a leak somewhere in the intake, loose vacuum line, or the way they did the TGV delete. So how did they do the TGV delete? There are a few ways to do it, maybe if you get that info we could determine if it's the TGVs or not. It sounds like they left most of the TGV in place because you aren't throwing any CELs. Possibly all they did is remove the restrictor plate which isn't much of a TGV delete if you ask me because you still have the bar and splitter in place. If they did do a true TGV delete it would look like this: Before... http://www.legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=15102&d=1140638536 http://www.legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=15103&d=1140638654 http://www.legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=15104&d=1140638654 After... http://www.legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=15081&d=1140587295
Legacy05
I will talk to them, but they have done a ton of delete's for WRX's and STI's.. the guy has an STi that is currently twin-turbo'd so he knows his ish! I am sure he'll get to the bottom of this for me, I just don't want to tell the wifey there is a problem heh.
Legacy05
Car has been dropped off, and to those that were curious, the bar is still in the TGV it hasn't been completely removed. So, hopefully he'll get it figured out and he'll let me know sometime today heh.
Legacy05
Just called the shop to see how things were going, turns out, I had a bad fuel injector. No 1 has gone bad, wtf. This will be the 3rd injector that has been replaced on my car. Good lord. Of course, it has been 11k miles since the last one was replaced. Legacy05
I just want to throw a shout out for Robert at Forced Air Technologies here in Arizona. Great guy, he took my car right in this morning to figure out what the problem was. He also did a great job putting my AVO DP, Helix Up-pipe and the TGV Delete. I am not running a custom tune yet and I am currently not throwing any codes
KartRacerBoy
Alright, alright, I admit my ignorance to one and all! what the heck is a TGV? From the picture it looks intake related. Turbo related? This is why I let people with ten fingers work on my car.

KartRacerBoy
Damn. No wonder these LGTs are so quick. Me no need no stinkin' "FAST" when I got my TGV. But why would you want to delete it?
