cjwessing
Hey everyone, Anyone have any idea what might cause the airbag light to stay on? I installed a computer, monitor and some amps in my car a few weeks ago, I think the airbag light issue might have started about the same time. I checked the airbag fuse and it's fine, anything else I should be looking for? Thanks, Chris '05 Legacy GT
rony
Did you bump any Airbag sendor cables? I think the airbag brain is under the center console. I would check those connections. My Car vBGarage
noam
Did you remove (or move) the trip computer? If that isn't plugged in, the airbag light will go on as it has the light which tells you the passenger airbag is or is not active.

This and did you accidentially ground a wire out on the control unit (ie did you not have the battery unhooked and could have possibly hit the control unit with a power wire) JDM'd All to hell Thanks Jimmy @ Hkc-Speed.com! cjwessing
I removed the unit below the cubby which read the ouside temp/mpg/etc, would that have anything to do with it?
noam
Yes. That is the trip computer. It has a light which shows if the passenger airbag is active. Without that connected, you'll get the airbag light. It is possible a resistor would fix it, but I'd probably plug it in and stick it inside the dash myself.
