fwellers
Congrats Leggtnut. Looking at those nice pics, I'm tempted to switch cars to the GT. hahah. I wonder how my salesman would like that, since all the paperwork is done on my 2.5i, waiting for me to pick up.

leggtnut
LGT is faster than FXT plus his FXT is automatic They are both autos actually. I know I know, it's a turbo w/ an auto. But My wife can't drive a stick worth beans and I absolutly hate traffic with a stick shift. I would have gotten the 5mt though if they brought back the hill holder clutch though. And whoever installed your gauges should be flogged. They look like they are going to fall out. I am not sure what exactly what you mean, but they look fine in person. IwannaSportSedan
If you look closely at the pic with the guage cluster, the trim that fits the gauge cluster to the cubby unit aren't straight, and higher on the right side. The gauges themselves look ok, but there is a larger gap between the trim and the gauge panel face on the left... The trim probably wasn't installed *quite* right, causing the slightly odd fitment... but it may not be a big deal... Car looks great.
fzanetti
Loooove those STi gauges!!!! You bought the car with them? How much did you pay for them? Car total? Nice color and great car man... . I wish mine had the STi gauges... :-( Flavio ZanettiBoston, MA
NutBucket
That bezel doesn't seem to have a great fit. The trim piece in my car had some extra "flash" on it from the mold that prevented the bezel from fitting flush. Even after some trimming it still doesn't fit quite right. Face it, this car just doesn't have the fit & finish of a Honda/Toyota.

leggtnut
I don't remember the exact cost of the guages, but they are not a port installable option so I had to have the dealier install them. After talking to the tech that installed them, they are a PITA to install, 3 hours. I did get it at dealier cost, which should have been somewhere around $620 + labor, but I need to check the paperwork again. I really love those gauages as well. I would really recommend them (espically if you know how to install them yourselves, I am a complete noob when it comes to this stuff, so I didn't want the headake) and Carter Subaru sells them for $620. I will get into the nitty gritty of my deal later, but I am happy with it, subaru of santa cruz (dan and bruce) rocks! NutBucket
Hardest part of the gauge install is dealing with the firewall insulation and the rubber plug. Everything else was pretty simple. I took my time though and it took about 4.5 hours including an oil change.
MassiveAttack
is your LGT faster than your Forester XT? My XT seems to be quicker off the line than my LGT. Probably due to the gearing.

fwellers
Sweet pics Leggnut. Too bad you had to get your new baby dirty on those wet roads. :-))) I just picked up my Legacy Ltd today. No pics yet. Of course it's not near as nice as the Lgt, but it was the right decision for me, being very economical and a low payment.
