Scottydunno
I picked up a set of 02 tgv housings for my top feed conversion. These were deleted with an aftermarket aluminum plug kit. I have the end plates removed along with the plugs. The issue I'm having is the center of the housing whee the shaft runs through. The plug isn't coming out at all. Does it matter which way it comes out? Is it threaded in? Thoughts???

Scottydunno
Here's the pictures of what I'm working with. It was an actual kit as you can see by the last picture. The rubber shaft seals are still in the housings. The first 2 show what I'm trying to remove.

I would assume it can be driven out, from the looks, but I suppose there is some risk in that. Maybe an adhesive on that pin, so baking in an oven for a while to break it down might help?
rhino6303
Yeah. That appears to just be an aluminum shaft pressed in. I imagine is was an interference fit or has some loctite so a little heat should help.
