Starting this thread because it looks way better in pictures lol.

2005 Legacy GT Limited 5pd wagon. Almost every major mechanical system has had major rebuilds with minor upgrades.

Engine:

- Rebuilt engine at 203k miles in 2016.

- OEM short block, D25 heads, vf52, lots of grimmspeed parts (crank pulley, boost control, intercooler, up pipe, catted down pipe), gates timing kit, jdm tgv things, tuned by Tuning Alliance

- q300 cat back

- AEM fuel pump, otherwise stock fueling

Drivetrain:

- transmission rebuilt at 208k miles. Was just getting slightly whiny and piggy bank was empty after above engine build

- WRX single mass flywheel and southbend endurance clutch

- Random short shifter that honestly isn't that short...

- Solid TiC shifter u-joint

- Dorman driveshaft 😒

- Motul redline in trans and diff

- Timken wheel bearings all around

- AutoZone reman front axles, original rears

Suspension:

- KW v2 coilovers

- Mevotech aluminum front and JDM rear aluminum pieces

- Whiteline adjustable rear links

- Whiteline front and rear sway bars

- Almost the entire Whiteline poly bushing catalog except

- Superpro increased caster and anti lift bushings in front

- AVO rear sway bar brackets

- Whiteline caster top hats

Brakes:

- dba t2 slotted rotors

- hawk hps 5.0

- oem everything else

Steering:

- 2015 sti rack

- sti solid shaft

- Whiteline bushings

- Whiteline bumpsteer kit

- damd D wheel as soon as I get my hands on the control blanks

Exterior:

- 08 outback tail lights

- BaysonR front lip

- DIY gutted and smoothed grill

- DIY cleared and blacked oem lights

- Subaru rain guards

- Random exhaust tips instead of the cheap looking q300 pipe stock

- IMSA race track stickers (my personal tribal tats)

Interior:

- Panda interior with one black 2007 front seat, black center console, and tan everything else. Passenger 2007 seat requires different abs shenanigans and seat belt mounting.

- Black front carpeting in the garage.

- 2008 whatever the gooder oem radio is in the garage

- Various but incomplete pieces for stock aux in jack in garage

- Takata recall cracked and gouged dash

- STi 5sp shift knob

- That little bracket that holds the driver floor mat in place

- Sensitouch ® driver window switch that doesn't return to neutral unless you touch it just right

- Sluggish/stuck shut oem sunroof

Wheels tires:

- OEM wheels painted Rust-Oleum white, 225/45/17 Conti extreme contact dws06

- O.Z. Leggera HLT 17x8 +45 offset. Currently awaiting refinishing in Subaru gold

- Not sure what tire next. Michelin 225/45 as4s? More contis? Whatever BFG replaces the comp summer with?

Future Projects:

- Interior. Install random parts as noted

- Eventual brembo retrofit. I can lock up tires now, and don't track the car. I don't really need better brakes, it'll be pure bling

- Fix broken things I've learned to live with. Like never having used the rear wiper once in 11 years of ownership.

- More power. Bigger turbo, more injector, maybe external wastegate, maybe aftermarket inlet tube and maybeee some vent to atmosphere blow off/bypass valve. All the silly noises.

- 6 speed. Ideally one of the stronger cases and not the new wrx ones people have recently figured out. I'd like to do a clutch dump just once 😆

- 08 front end? Madrig scoop and wing? Respray? Idk by that point I'll have really needed to run out of things other than the car to spend money on.

I don't grow tired of driving it (now 264k miles), I don't grow discontent despite it's age, imprefections and generally falling apart as time goes on. The vin sticker says it's a June 2004 build date, meaning in 7 months the 2005 model year car will be every bit of 20 years old. It officially competes in zero sporting sense, so whatever makes me giggle on my way to work is it's main goal.

Nice build, interested to see what comes next!   Re. tire selection: I'd put a vote in for Continental Extremecontact Sports, I loved the ECS for the 2 days I got to run them before my engine let go...

Lol! This is the bracket guy. The plastic built-in attachment  gave up the ghost so long ago. I can't remember when or where I learned of this bracket, but it's one of those things you jump on knowing it'll help you in the long run.
