06SubLegTx
Hello, I have a 2006 Legacy 2.5i Limited. The code that it is giving is a P171 The car has NEW Subaru Parts: Ignition Coil, Subaru Ignition Wires, Spark Plugs, EGR Valve, All new Hoses (vacuum and cooling) New PVC Valve and Hose. All NEW Subaru Timing Parts, (Belt, All Timing Belt Pulleys, Bearing, Belt, Belt Tensioner etc.) New Subaru Fuel Injectors, Injector Seals/O-Rings I run higher octane gas. 92-93 Thoughts? Tehnation
ur missing a number What the P0171 code means. The P0171 OBD-II code means that, on the first bank of the engine, the fuel system is running weak or a vacuum leak exists near this side of the engine. A lean condition occurs when the engine either receives too little fuel or too much air.

apexi
I'd try cleaning the maf sensor. Make sure you clean the resistors inside the sensor, and not the reddish air temp sensor that is most visible. He starts talking about it at about 9:
Marvick08GT
My guess would be on the plenum o-rings. They leak and cause codes and rough running (or leak under boost). Have you checked the turbo inlet?
silverton
I don't believe OP's car will have a turbo inlet.

zactek
I chased a p0171 for months, checked all the above, nothing. In my case,it was a crack in the OEM cross pipe, which led to too much oxygen getting sucked in and fooling the O2 sensor into thinking car was too lean. Worth checking. Zack K.
