I'm personally going to blow a head gasket (Engine Swaps)

Recommended Posts

I really want to keep this short and simple and easy too understand.

I have a blown up 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5i MT. (EJ253)

I want a direct no messing about easy in and out! swapping small things like air intakes, spark plugs exhaust manifolds is fine, if it is at all internal or wiring I am not able to do that.

All I know currently is 05-09 (LEGACY) ej253 should swap fine, I can't find that exact car with a good motor. Do all models Impreza, Forester & Legacy ej253 work in the year 2005-2009?

I have found older model Impreza, Forester & Legacy 04 would those ej253 engines work or would I be into re-wiring anything is an option at this point as long as it is ej253 and will bolt on.

I have done a lot of googling and research but found almost nothing, even the subaru dealership wont tell me what is compatible please boys I need help.

As far as I know, any ej253 will work as long as you use your intake system.

Much like the ej257 can be installed in a 2005 GT in place of the ej255. My ej257 has all my old engines parts bolted on it.

http://www.car-part.com may be a good place to find a used engine.
