What Can My Old Spark Plugs Tell Me ?

Recommended Posts

About 3 weeks ago I bought a used 2011 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Premium with a little over 63,000 miles. I was able to get a hold of the original owners servicing records and it definitely was regularly maintenanced at their Subaru's dealership. So far there's been no problems really, maybe a slight rumble you could say while idling (extremely mild and infrequent enough that it was kind of hard to tell), but since changing out the spark plugs was due, I decided to DIY it, and this was also my first time changing out spark plugs on a vehicle.

All the ignition coils came out with relative ease (except one that took a bit more twisting and pulling), they all looked in good condition so I didn't bother changing them out. Anyway, got the job done, took some pictures of the old ones, and was wondering if the wear on these are normal or if they indicate something else.61ff0b3d33e92ba74b1423e67e97e543.jpgd0bcf542fef851a58b11cc914865d11c.jpge9763b2889092a963581fb9c090ac98c.jpg
