djehuty
Hi everyone, I have a 2010 Legacy 2.5i base 6MT with about 90,000 miles and I got the christmas tree lights on the panel, after checking with an OBD2 reader It says my car has a problem with the O2 sensors and give me the code P0031, I also went to my local subaru service then they told me the same thing, both sensors upstream and downstream should be replaced; they are charging me 500 bucks for both sensors + install, is this ok?, on the other hand I checked DIY videos on youtube and I believe It would be possible for me to do it but I am unsure about the parts that I can buy and if they would match my car, also its my first time messing with any car beyond changing tires or battery. Do someone knows if these parts can match my car? Amazon: Denso 234-4445 Oxygen Sensor Amazon: Denso 234 - 9097 A/F Sensor Thanks in advance for your help. Plastixx
Yes, those are the correct sensors.
58Tucker
I have the same code on my '09. I already replaced the downstream sensor about seven months ago. I'm going to replace the upstream (Denso $109 Rockauto.com) when I get back home from current business travel. Just curious, how did your replacement go? Did that clear your codes? motorbreath
I suggest using Rock Auto to lookup and order parts, but with regards to O2 sensors, as long as you can get the old ones out, they tend to be easy to replace. Definitely buy a set of O2 sensor sockets if you are going to do this yourself.
