krzyss
It is wrong answer. The link shows the "non existant" 215/45R17 SP5000 tire ;-) Krzys
sdmf
Does the larger sidewall of the 225/45, soften the ride at all? I was thinking of the Conntinental contipro tires.
Edvig
If it is true please tell me what is this? http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp?width=215%2F&ratio=45&diameter=17&sortCode=49500&minSpeedRating=H&ratio=45&width=215%2F&diameter=17&minLoad=S&vehicleSearch=true&startIndex=0&search=true&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&performance=UHPAS&manufacturer=Dunlop&speed_rating=HR&speed_rating=VR&speed_rating=ZR&speed_rating=WR&speed_rating=YR&RunFlat=All&x=32&y=3 Ok, so I learned something today. It's possible that the SP5000s didn't come in the 215/45-17 size 4 years ago when I bought them for my WRX. Sorry for the wrong or outdated info. dark_templer_102
Update: I ended up getting the F1s for about 166 each with installation at 11 bucks each. Sold off the RE92s for about 40 bucks each. Seemed like a good deal...
outahere
.......I mean would driving summers totally **** me over on some thin ice going..i dunno.. 30 mph? Yes, it could. Consider this example, regarding braking on ice from 50km/hr (approx 31mph): A studded Nokian "Hakka" 4 tire requires 38.5 meters to stop. An unstudded "all-weather" Nokian WR requires 64.5 meters to stop. That is a difference of 26m, or 85 ft!!! That is a huge difference in braking performance. (Data is from Motor magazine, in Norway) And the results will be even worse with the Goodyear F1s.
